About Ambalika
Ambalika is a non-profit organization registered under the societies act XX1, 1861 of india. It was conceived for uplifting the economic condition and providing education, health and medication facilities to the primitive tribe like the Shabar, Kharia, Birhou of Jharkhand, India, who are otherwise on the verge of extinction. The primitive tribes are still leading a nomadic life.
The conditions of tribal communities are declining in number and their pre-agricultural level of technology and economy are not improving. The primitive tribal community represent the lowest level of economic development amongst tribal communities.
Ambalika has accepted the challenge of improving the socio-economic standards, health and education of these primitive tribes. There by it is working toward restoring the age old traditional handicrafts and handloom of Jharkhand. It has been trying to create employment opportunities for the tribals in the field of forest produce. Having these objectives in mind, Ambalika has chalked out some strategies and which over a period of time will help develop there primitive tribes toward better living.
